Park Model Homes by Champion – Innovation in Recreational Living

Park Model RV’S

Park Model RV’s are becoming a popular choice for seasonal homes, mountain retreats and recreational living.  Whether you’re looking for a weekend escape to enjoy nature and recreation or a place to call home when you head south for the winter months, park models offer both style and function in a modest space. You’ll feel right at home with full size appliances, built in storage cabinets, covered porches and the many architectural features offered by Champion Home Builders.

Park Availability

Champion builds park models under the Athens Park brand name at eight of its home building facilities across the United States. These facilities located in Arizona, Florida, Idaho, New York, North Carolina, Nebraska, and Texas; collectively ship into all 50 U.S. states and most Canadian provinces. Park models are sold through a network of independent retail centers, communities, and campgrounds.

Construction

Park Model RV’s are built to the ANSI code for recreational vehicles. The materials and systems used are very similar to the HUD CODE for manufactured homes. One key difference is the size restriction which limits park models to a maximum of 399 sq.ft. of living space. However, the limit does not apply to covered porches and many customers add a 6’ or 8’ porch on the front of their park model and some add one on the back end of the bedroom.

Features And Styling

The Athens Park models are available in coastal, rustic, and traditional styles. Most of the designs include one bedroom, one bathroom, full kitchen, and living room, in addition you’ll find that many of the floorplans offer a loft above the kitchen large enough for a guest to sleep in and optional built in cabinets for additional storage.
